Struggling to survive and build a life for herself and her children in 19th-century Wales, a courageous widow (Theresa Russell) drives a herd of cattle across the vast Welsh countryside in hope of paying off her husband's gambling debts. Along the way she wards off invading cattle rustlers--and the unwanted attentions of an amorous sheriff--with the help of a sexy cowboy ranchhand (Patrick Bergin).
