Igor Stravinsky: Petrouchka - Johannes Brahms: Liebeslieder - Walzer Op. 52

This unique release focuses on the the love songs of Johannes Brahms, presenting them in tandem with Igor Stravinsky's PETROUCHKA. Instead of taking the usual route and visualizing the work with splendid ballet performances, they are presented here by the musicians who perform them. Beautifully filmed, a real sense of the machinations behind the playing is achieved. Further visualization comes courtesy of some computer animation, alongside a mixture of suitable paintings, breathtaking nature scenes, and a variety of portraits.
