Nicholas Britell Succession - Season 1

Succession is a satirical comedy-drama series created by Jesse Armstrong (In The Thick of It, Four Lions) for HBO. Succession focuses on the fictional Roy family, the dysfunctional owners of a global media empire who are fighting for control of the company amidst uncertainty about the health of the family's patriarch. The series originally premiered in June 2018 on HBO to rave critical reviews. The warm reception prompted HBO to renew Succession for a second season which premieres August 11th, 2019. For scoring duties to Succession, Nicholas Britell was brought aboard. Best known for his Oscar-nominated score to Moonlight, Britell has also crafted music for films such as Vice and If Beale Street Could Talk, and is one of the most sought after composers working in Hollywood today. With Succession, Britell has delivered a moving suite of classical compositions that perfectly frame the chaos of the turbulent Roy family.
