These recreations often times serve to shed light on ways to react and to proceed in the face of a catastrophe. And in this respect, The Command falls short. [Full Review in Spanish] Full Review

Rating: 3/5 -- It's all perfectly watchable but hampered by cliche and a feeling of a filmmaking team treading so carefully they struggle to leave a mark. Full Review

Product Description:

Based on a real story. The Command recounts the 2000 K-141 Kursk submarine disaster. The film tells the story of the Russian nuclear submarine as it's sinking to the bottom of the Barents Sea and the sailors fighting to survive it. Officer Mikhail Kalekow (Matthias Schoenaerts) is part of the crew that is still alive and waiting for rescue. However, the rescue mission seems hindered by politics and bureaucracy among Russia, France, Norway and Britain, with the latter's navy chief (Colin Firth) trying to convince Russia to receive foreign aid.
