Description by OLDIES.com:
Johnny Hardwick grew up at the racetrack and knows that his horse Honeyblossom, is unbeatable. At an after-race party, Johnny comes to the aid of a woman who is being molested by a brute and in the ensuing fight breaks a bottle over the man's head. Wanted by the law, he flees to the tiny backwater town of Madison Springs where he falls in love with pretty Margaret Warren and lands a job in her dad's grocery store. When Margaret tells Johnny that her father is about to wager his life savings on a horse race, he hatches a clever plan to save the family fortune.
