Entertainment Reviews:
Rating: 2/5 --
This frenetic kids' comedy about a ker-razy family and all the wacky mishaps that befall them is neither terrible nor horrible. It's just adequate -- a message-heavy montage of chaos and engineered hilarity.

It's very hard not to like this film. It's energetic, filled with silly, genuine fun, and has humorous beats that will make you smile and possibly laugh out loud.

Punch Drunk Critics
The movie's appeal is largely due to director Miguel Arteta's light touch, as well as the affability of Steve Carell and the low-key charm of the titular 'tween character, played by Ed Oxenbould.

This very loose adaptation of Judith Viorst's 1972 children's book finds its strengths in the way that it has been updated for 2014.
