Entertainment Reviews:
Rating: 4/5 --
A film as incisive as it is delectable about the dreams and disappointments of adolescence, the passion of youth and the surprise of unexpected love. [Full review in Spanish]

Rincón de cine
3 stars out of 5 -- Luchetti keeps the drama surprisingly light. Vibrantly shot using handheld cameras, this is an amusing, engagingly acted film.
Total Film
Aided by the solid direction of co-writer Luchetti, scripters Petraglia and Rulli seem to take special pleasure in the volatility of the brothers and their family members...
Los Angeles Times
Rating: 4/5 --
A merry swirl of vital, passionate performances.

Sacramento News & Review
Rating: 4/5 --
This is such a lovely film from writer/director Daniele Luchetti, nostalgic perhaps, but with that indefinable Italian whimsy that takes serious political themes and undermines them beautifully.
At the Movies (Australia)
Rating: 3.5/4 --
The film, which argues that blood brotherhood is stronger than political brotherhoods, vibrates with their youthful energy and ardor.

Philadelphia Inquirer
Luchetti deliberately set out to make a film that was not overtly political but rather about people caught up by the tide of the times. Handsomely shot and astutely cast...

Product Description:
Through the 1960s and 1970s, a pair of brothers (Elio Germano and Riccardo Scamarcio) battle over love and ideas in this Italian drama. MY BROTHER IS AN ONLY CHILD (MIO FRATELLO È FIGLIO UNICO) also stars Angela Finocchiaro and Luca Zingaretti.
Description by Image Entertainment:
The violent political unrest of 1960s Italy brings simmering tensions between two feuding brothers to the boiling point in this critically acclaimed film. Eager to distance themselves from each other, Accio (Elio Germano, Do You Like Hitchock', Respiro: Grazia's Island) and older brother, Manrico (Riccardo Scamarcio, Romanzo Criminale, Three Steps Over Heaven), join opposing political parties but are tied together by their dysfunctional working-class family... and a beautiful girl named Francesca. As the turbulent decade comes to a close, the brothers slowly discover they're more alike than they thought, but that realization might come too late.
