In 2001, Pharrell and partner Chad Hugo were named "Producers of the Year" at both The Source Awards and the Billboard Music Awards. 2004 had him walking away with two Grammy Awards: one for "Producer of the Year" and the other for "Best Pop Vocal Album" for he and Chad's work on Justin Timberlake's No. 2 Billboard hit "Justified."
