Barras Bravas

A re-visioning of ROMEO AND JULIET, BARRAS BRAVAS (aka AZUL Y BLANCO) involves a pair of star-crossed lovers caught in the violent world of Chilean football fandom. Paloma, a member of the gang Garra Blanca, who support the Colo-Colo team, falls in love with Azul, whose gang Los de abajo are fans of Universidad de Chile. The pair must hide their love from their respective gangs, lest terrible consequences ensue for the already warring factions. BARRAS BRAVAS is a love story that takes place against the backdrop of Chilean football, which has become infamous for the levels of violence perpetrated by its fans.
