Description by OLDIES.com:

A "groundbreaking jazz synthesizer record" according to the All-Music Guide, this Joel Dorn-product Atlantic release from McCann was quite radical when first released in 1973 (McCann, along with Herbie Hancock, was one of the few "traditional" jazz figures to embrace synthesizers at an early stage). "Layers" was the first commercial 32-track recording (a technology that didn't exist in 1972, engineer Bob Liftin modified two 16-track boards), and on it McCann puts the newly-released ARP synthesizer through its paces.

  • 1.Sometimes I Cry
  • 2.Let's Gather
