Rating: B -- Linklater's latest entry, Last Flag Flying, while not quite as strong, continues this tradition and is a beautiful depiction of male friendship in America. Full Review

Rating: 3/5 -- Last Flag Flying only flirts with these difficult themes, never really going far with them. There's something a little...well, 'fraidy cat about that. Full Review

Rating: 3/5 -- It's good fun and has a warm heart, but there's nothing of real substance on offer in Last Flag Flying. Cranston is still immensely watchable, however, in one of his best film roles to date. Full Review

Product Description:

In this spiritual sequel to the 1973 film THE LAST DETAIL, Larry "Doc" Shepherd (Steve Carell) recruits fellow Vietnam veterans Sal Nealon (Bryan Cranston) and Richard Mueller (Laurence Fishburne) to accompany him to Arlington Cemetery after the death of his son in the Iraq War. But when Doc decides to bury his son at home, against government protocol, the men find themselves on a reflective adventure. J. Quinton Johnson and Deanna Reed Foster co-star. Richard Linklater directed and co-wrote the script with Darryl Ponicsan, who authored the novel the film is based on.
