AMERICAN ASSASSIN turns into a 'chosen one' narrative à la THE MATRIX for a little while, with ex-Navy SEAL Stan Hurley serving as the comically grizzled Morpheus to Mitch’s cocky Neo....It’s pretty fun in the moment.
