Rating: 2.5/4 -- Director Raman Hui mixes martial-arts fights and slapstick comedy (lots of mugging by Jing) into a whimsical, fast-paced monster mash. Full Review

Rating: 3/5 -- Monster Hunt, although an acquired taste, is an interestingly different tale told keeping various Chinese themes in mind, in addition to various sight gags, martial arts (but of course) and some humour too. Full Review

Rating: 2/5 -- Apart from the central monster figure Wuba being extremely adorable - merchandising oppportunity alert! - there's nothing here to get excited about. Full Review

Rating: 2.5/4 -- The movie is a mixed bag, but one filled with imagination and ingenuity, and as such as nuts as Monster Hunt proves to be it's also just enjoyable enough to make dealing with its wildly perverse lapses into pandemonium worth enduring. Full Review
