Entertainment Reviews:
New York Times - 11/05/2018
"Hart himself, played with sober, dignified charisma and a saving flash of wit by Hugh Jackman, is presented onscreen much as he presented himself at the time: as a serious, cerebral politician uncomfortable with the kind of personal display a modern national campaign seems to demand."

"Hugh Jackman proves an inspired candidate to embody Hart, downplaying his brawny movie-star persona, while still conveying the twinkly-eyed sex appeal that would have made the photogenic and well-spoken senator from Colorado a logical choice to follow the country’s first movie-star president..."

"[S]mart, fast and funny....A tip-top piece of entertainment starring Hugh Jackman as Hart and Vera Farmiga as his wife, Lee, that is as significant as it is enjoyable."

3 stars out of 5 -- "[T]he film is a commendably ambitious attempt by director/co-writer Jason Reitman to throw audiences into the cacophonous circus of sexual politics and let them vote with their conscience."

"Vera Farmiga is reliably great, offering some subtle moments of truth regarding her tacit agreement to look the other way when it came to Hart’s secrets and lies. And Molly Ephraim provides quiet wisdom and strength as the rare female leader within Hart’s campaign..."

3 stars out of 4 -- "THE FRONT RUNNER plunges viewers headlong into the bewildering jumble of entitlement, idealism, unintended consequences and still-unresolved issues that transformed Hart from a high-minded statesman to tabloid roadkill with dizzying speed."
