A man named William (Benjamin A. Onyango) escapes the Rwandan genocide and is able to come to America as a refugee. He befriends Randy (Scott William Winters), an American man struggling to connect with his rebellious daughter Andrea (Emily Hahn). She will only confide in her pen pal, who also happens to be from Rwanda. William travels with Randy and his family to Rwanda and discovers Andrea's friend has a connection to the violence his family experienced during the civil war. Based on a true story.
