Moro No Brasil is a true celebration of music and culture. Brazil is rich in musical tradition. The documentary is a declaration of Kaurismaki's love for the country -+ his adopted home for over fifteen years. Kaurismaki experienced melting-pots of customs and tradition in the cities of Penambuco, Bahia and Rio de Janiero. His film documents the variety of Brazil's musical expression and the influence it has had on world music. During the production of the film he also opened a live music club, "Mika's Bar," in Rio de Janiero, where many of these performances were recorded.
