Entertainment Reviews:
Product Description:
New Zealand soprano and international sensation Dame Kiri Te Kanawa returns to her beloved island with HOME AND AFAR. Kanawa stretches her brilliant voice around songs of many different genres -- from the Broadway showtunes of Gershwin to the arias of Puccini. A series of three different concerts in New Zealand plus a classical performance at London's Chapel of the Royal Navy College have all been compiled onto this one amazing video.
Product Description:
In 1990, Dame Kiri Te Kanawa made a triumphant return to her native New Zealand to give three concerts, the last of which - an outdoor recital in Wellington - attracted an audience of over seventy-five thousand people who enjoyed music ranging from Puccini to My Fair Lady. Just over a year later, Kiri delighted an invited audience at Christopher Wren's Chapel of the Royal Naval College in Greenwich, London, with a program of Handel and Mozart. This program, which captures highlights from these two performances, serves as a memorable record of Kiri's unique voice.
