TOMATOMETER
Total Count: 100
Rating: 3/5 -- Gotta feel for Chase, who had no idea in 2017 that 7 months into a pandemic, weary parents might seriously consider trading their kids to demons for a little peace and quiet. Full Review

Robertson, we should mention, is indeed the best thing here....The young actor is quite a find.

Rating: 3.5/4 -- Jacobs' performance is perfectly grounded, and attuned to Robertson's incredible portrayal of Oliver, which never lets the character become just the sum of his awkward tics. Full Review

Much like J.J. Abrams in SUPER 8, Chase shows nimble command of specific genre references without falling into a derivative trap.
Hollywood Reporter

Rating: 2/4 -- An inconsistent, flat film that is too often reliant on jump scares instead of atmosphere. Full Review

Product Description:

A young boy named Oliver (Azhy Robertson) struggles to fit in with his peers. As his loneliness mounts, he finds comfort in the instantaneous connectivity of his smart devices. However, his devices soon become the gateway for a sinister creature to access reality and use Oliver as its pawn. Oliver's parents (Gillian Jacobs and John Gallagher, Jr.) must then try to strike against the unsettling creature at its source. Written and directed by Jacob Chase.
