Description by OLDIES.com:
Mystic Circle Murder, a low budget Merit Pictures production, is notable for a rare screen appearance by the widow of the great escape artist and magician, Harry Houdini. Madame Houdini delivers her definitive judgement on the efforts of the living to contact the dearly departed. Her verdict: don't waste your money or time trying to talk to the dead, because if her beloved Harry couldn't send back a message for her, what chance do the rest of us have to commune with the spirits?
Movie Lovers' Ratings & Reviews:

I don't know how much they paid Madame Houdini to appear briefly twice in this movie but it wasn't nearly enough to cover her embarassement if she ever saw it. The film doesn't start off badly, in fact I kind of enjoyed the first 15 minutes or so, even though the copy is choppy and appears to have had scences lost. But then the action moves to Egypt and on to India and it becomes downright silly...if not insulting to Egyptians and Indians. This definetly a film I would not bother to watch again.
I believe the cover art is what sold me on this DVD. The movie starts off great and you feel that it is going to offer a lot for the money but half way through it starts "stretching the imagination." All in all...it is still a good one to watch and enjoy...remembering its age and the era in which it was made. (Seeing Houdini's wife, though briefly, is a plus.)
