TOMATOMETER
YOUNG AHMED is suspenseful and economical, with a clear sense of what’s at stake...
New York Times
However serious-minded the typically safe duo intend to be, the dramatic allowances they take in imagining what that looks like could result in the Dardennes’ most controversial film yet.
Variety
[I]t's made with the signature clarity, elliptical economy and empathy that earned the Dardennes' work so much praise in the past.
Hollywood Reporter
4 stars out of 4 -- YOUNG AHMED contains a range of superbly realized performances -- young Ben Addi in the title role deserves special commendation -- that brings to life not just a disparate set of individuals but an entire social world.

Product Description:
In Belgium, a bi-racial teenager (Idir Ben Addi) develops a close bond with a radical imam (Othmane Moumen) who encourages the boy to follow his extremist belief in the Quran. The intense ideas push the boy further down a sinister path, where he begins to draft a plan to murder his teacher (Myriem Akheddiou). The Dardenne filmmaking duo tests the boundaries of how far youths can stray down an arguably dangerous path at the directorial helm of this drama.
