The scriptwriters wanted to replace the weakness of the original story with some sense of humor... But that sense of humor is scant -- just like everything else in the movie. [Full Review in Spanish] Full Review

The Christie plot ends up so drastically foreshortened that you'd swear a reel must have been misplaced, although the sluggish direction of Guy Hamilton doesn't make one anxious to see it restored. Full Review

A film which makes it absolutely necessary for the women actors to maintain a substantial distance between themselves and their roles. Other women might prefer to "maintain a substantial distance" between themselves and any theatre that's showing it. Full Review

Rating: 7/10 -- For the more hard-line Christie aficionados, Hamilton's film is likely to be just a little too casual in its adaptation. For the less discriminating, it's a blast. Full Review

Product Description:

The beloved Miss Marple has her hands full when she tries to solve a murder case which occured on a film production set. This movie within a movie sparkles with it's own all-star cast.

Plot Synopsis:

It's murder, movies and mayhem when two people are killed on a film set in England. Soon the grandmotherly amateur sleuth Miss Marple is called into action. With her nephew from Scotland Yard tagging along, Miss Marple assesses the suspects. The possibilities include Jason Rudd, the film's director; producer Marty Fenn; his actress/wife Lola Brewster; and Jason's wife Marina Rudd, who is Lola's antagonistic rival.
Adding even more intrigue to the proceedings is the fact that Marina is recovering from a nervous breakdown -- and the incident that caused it just may be connected to the murders...
