Entertainment Reviews:
Perkins carves out his own identity. Scoring scares through suffocating mood, he finds fright in stillness, quiet, and isolation -- the elements that make his movies feel like lying alone and awake in a dark house, letting your mind play tricks on you. -- Grade: B+

The characters are too underdeveloped to leave an impression.

Rating: 4.5/5 --
Deserves to be studied in terms of its visuals and learned from by those who write and want to learn how to tell a story with minimal, haunting dialogue.

It's Hitchcockian in style, however, the thrills are doused in dread to create a surprisingly effective horror movie.

Perkins builds layer after layer of dread, so that when an explosion finally occurs, it’s almost a twisted relief. He shows a lot of patience for a first-time director.
Chicago Sun-Times
Rating: B- --
It's an atmospheric slow-burn that's heavy on moody insinuation and light on overt gotcha scares.
