Description by

A nuclear attack has been launched against the US. In the middle of the night, on a lonely country highway, a police radio blares this chilling message. There is no mistake --- missiles have been launched. This first alarm is the beginning of a tense drama that pits an unlikely group of late-night travelers against a brutal deputy sheriff --- all of them on a road to an unknown and horrific destiny.

A good cast of characters manage to turn a very low budget production into a gripping and frighteningly realistic terrifying tale of the future.

Product Description:

When a State Trooper warns people at a highway checkpoint of impending nuclear war, their reactions reveal much about human nature. At the end of the film, it's bombs away.

Well worth watching Movie Lover: from Middle Village, NY US -- November, 21, 2008

I really enjoyed this film except for thje inclusion of one character who doesn;t seem to fit inot the rest pf the story. See it and you'll know who I mean. Well plotted and not a mad acting job. Foir those of us who remember the nuclear war scares, this does a golod job. And, no, I won;t reveal the ending.

This Is Not A Monster Movie Movie Lover: from Tejas -- March, 11, 2004

Do not let the genre of film fool you! This is classified as science fiction only because it A)Involves nuclear bombs( hence the science) and B) It has not happened (hence the fiction)). This is an amazingly well acted drama with involved characters set into a hopless situation. I wont spoil it but then ending fully sumizes the reality of nuclear attack and was juxtaposed against what the goverment was telling us at the time. It must have been startaling and a little disturbing to see this film when it was new.
