Description by OLDIES.com:

U.S. diplomatic officer Ken Seely (William Lundigan) arrives for his first assignment in a remote Mongolian village and is immediately confronted by threats and attempts on his life. By the time Seely's sweetheart, Margaret Walden (Virginia Bruce) arrives for her assignment at the same consulate quarters, Marshal Yun Usu, the evil warlord (Richard Loo), forces his reign of terror on the village and threatens the Americans with execution. This patriotic tale of how State Department officials are often at risk, takes us from their training in Washington, D.C. to their troubled outposts in dangerous rebel territories.

Product Description:

An exciting little thriller set in China where an imprisoned agent hopes to kidnap a powerful warlord.

Trouble in China Movie Lover: from Middle Village, NY US -- July, 20, 2009

A good Chinese warlord type film. Richard Loo as usual steals everty scene he's in. U S State Dept. official William Lundigan finds himself in the middle of Chinese troubles in the late 1940's with explosive results!
