THE BOLD AND BRASH DARRO AND THE TIMID BUT BUT KNOWING MORELAND MAKE A COMBINATION FOR LAUGHS.THROW IN SOME MYSTERY AND YOU HAVE A FILM WELL WORTH WATCHING. A delightful and very funny mystery/comedy featuring Mantan Moreland and Frankie Darro. Although Frankie’s character is in charge and they are not billed as a team they are most certainly a team. I can think of no other comedy teams from this era that are racially mixed. The story is set in a radio station and allows for some interesting “behind the scenes” settings. The print quality is generally quite good and Alpha Video should be highly praised for leaving the film intact and unedited. Potential buyers should be aware, however, that there are one or two sequences that may seem inappropriate by today’s standards.
