Product Description:
The BBC period drama GARROW'S LAW began its original run on UK television in 2009. Set in 18th Century England, it follows the experiences of William Garrow (Andrew Buchan), a tempestuous attorney trying various criminal cases of the day. Though the concepts of "innocent until proven guilty" and individual liberty are entirely novel at the time, Garrow coins both principles and helps to make them rote, often successfully defending the unjustly accused against the state. Unsurprisingly, this earns him numerous enemies in the fields of law and politics. The show's third series finds Garrow still fighing for prisoner's rights, but rejected by his peers and living in poverty with Lady Sarah. In addition, his mentor John Southouse is gravely ill.
