I agree with you about this picture,starring Reginald Owen, however I truly like the same titled movie but the star is Alastair Simms,its was presented in 1951 a true British version. This version should be also given 5 stars.

This is truly the quintesential version of this timeless classic! Reginald Owen is far and away the best Scrooge! The complete feel of the movie is so "period" and it's truly a MUST HAVE for anyone's holiay movie collection! Plus, you get to see a very young June Lockhart in her first movie role as one of the Cratchett children, with her real-life mother and father playing the roles of Mr. and Mrs. Cratchett! It's a perfect holiday addition!! ENJOY!!
