Product Description:
Long unseen and commercially unavailable but discussed almost constantly by those in the know, the experimental shorts of avant garde filmmaker Mike Wallington have attained a legendary reputation. Their ragged, freewheeling qualities and unconventional approaches to offbeat subject matter have only accentuated this status. This set from the label Screen Edge brings into a single collection three of Wallington's most famous shorts: the 1978 gonzo documentary "Champions," on record-setting overeaters; the 1979 biographical chronicle "Ice Break," on English martial artist Frank Perry; and the 1980 ARCADE ATTACK, an animated meditation on the video game revolution which begins as a sociological chronicle of mechanical pinball versus electronic arcade games (such as Defender) but morphs into a virtual arcade-style battle between two warring factions.
