Product Description:

From the father of bluegrass comes Knee Deep In Bluegrass, the debut album from Bill Monroe & The Blue Grass Boys, originally issued in 1958. By then Bill was a thirty year veteran of the music industry and had sold some ten million records during his career. Bill is also acknowledged for giving a first break to Earl Scruggs and Lester Flatt, who were members of The Blue Grass Boys between 1945 and 1948. Knee Deep features three Bill Monroe originals among the twelve compositions, with Molly And Ten Brooks and Sally-Jo being subsequently released as singles. The album was a resounding success, proof that Bill Monroe didnt just attract fans, he made disciples.
