Metallica Woodstock 1994 (2-CD)

On 12th August 1990 the band had released "Metallica," commonly known amongst fans and critics as The Black Album. To capitalise on the success of the album, Metallica embarked on a mammoth series of live performances, staging over 350 gigs across three tours. Although, following the release Metallica. there were no further group albums for almost five years, the well-received documentary film, A Year And A Half In The Life Of Metallica, in 1992, and the live album, Live Shit: Binge & Purge, in 1993, kept fans somewhat fulfilled. Metallica performed at the Woodstock '94 festival on Saturday 13th August, alongside Nine Inch Nails, Aerosmith and the Rollins Band, and showed no trace of tour fatigue as they produced a show generally considered to be one of their best ever. Broadcast live on local FM radio and containing cuts from their entire back catalogue, including 'Master Of Puppets', 'For Whom The Bell Tolls', 'One' and 'Enter Sandman'.
