Salvo is a police detective, based in Vigata, Italy, who spends his days working on cases that bring him into regular contact with priests, Mafiosos, housewives, businessmen, and other assorted types in the community; outside of the job, he must also contend with personal demons that threaten to hamper his relationship to long-distance girlfriend Livia.
