As originally broadcast on the BBC in 2009, the series REGGIE PERRIN actually constitutes a follow-up to an earlier program - the comedy classic THE FALL AND RISE OF REGINALD PERRIN, which starred Leonard Rossiter and ran for three seasons, from 1976 through '79. Like its predecessor, this belated sequel also emerged from the efforts of David Nobbs. It finds Martin Clunes stepping into the title role, as a marketing exec for Groomtech Industries prone to a steady stream of distractions every day. The constant mental wandering repeatedly lands Reggie into tight spots that he must then squeeze out of. This box set contains all of Series 1 and Series 2 of the program.
