Heroes de Otra Patria

This spanish-language film presents a fresh perspective on the Vietnam War from the viewpoint of the many young Puerto Ricans who were drafted in order to fight alongside their American counterparts. HÉROES DE OTRA PATRIA tells the story of Raúl and Carlos who together are assigned to a deadly reconnaissance mission and are ambushed. The soldiers manage to escape, but face fear head on while trying desperately to return to base. Carlos' mother and sister, back home in Puerto Rico, are left to only expect the worse and pray for the best as they are also left to deal with obstacles involving the politics of war and Carlos' absence.
