Entertainment Reviews:
Rating: 4/5 --
Even though this new movie is under another director, it feels very much like the first film. The characters are great, being both relateable and extreme.

3 stars out of 5 -- [The director] keeps the the film moving, stitching disparate moments into the brotherly bonding arc....DIARY offers fans of the books what they want...

Rating: 2/4 --
Apparently seventh grade doesn't pack as much potential for amusing, scarred-for-life trauma as sixth grade.

The pre-teen cast seems rudderless, without an interested hand guiding them into worthwhile comedic performances.

Rating: 1/5 --
I'm not asking for Citizen Kane here, but just a wisp of expansion to the characters, an actual narrative that the film can walk down, or just some sort of ambition to the whole project would not have gone amiss.

3 stars out of 5 -- The good news is the sequel, which focuses on the relationship between Greg and his tyrannical older brother Rodrick, is even better than the first edition...

Product Description:
ASTRO BOY director David Bowers helms the follow-up film to 2010's big-screen adaptation of Jeff Kinney's acclaimed DIARY OF A WIMPY KID comic novels in this Fox 2000 production. As Greg Heffley (Zachary Gordon) braves his first days of seventh grade, his parents (Steve Zahn and Rachael Harris) make a noble yet ill-advised attempt to help him forge a stronger bond with his mischievous older brother, Rodrick (Devon Bostick), who takes twisted delight in tormenting his unsuspecting younger sibling at every opportunity.
