Where the film scores is in its moments of simplicity. This isn't another smirking Z-budget spoof, but has the confidence to take itself seriously (though there are some nice odd touches of humour).

The meagre budget has taken its toll. Many scenes are too poorly lit to be enjoyable. Coupled with the convulsive camerawork, a good 25 per cent of the film is unintelligible.
