Rating: B -- At the heart of Wild Nights with Emily is a real love for Dickinson's work and an attempt to properly re-contextualize her story. That, in itself, is noble. Full Review

Product Description:

Set in mid-19th century America, this biographical account of writer Emily Dickinson (Molly Shannon) takes a look at her romantic relationship with her sister-in-law Susan (Susan Zeigler) through the years as they grow from young women unto adults. Attempting the publication for her many poems, Emily finds the door slammed in her face more times than she can count until a female editor sees her potential, though her agenda isn't all so clear. Directed by Madeleine Olnek.
