How's this for a gig: for nearly 20 years, Nark served as trumpeter for the U.S. Air Force Airmen. On his first major release he shows his considerable expertise on a mix of standards and works by Charlie Parker, John Coltrane and Dizzie Gillespie. The production is a little flashy, but this cat can blow. ~ Tim Sheridan
