4 stars out of 5 -- Morfydd Clark is a revelation in her first lead, at once vulnerable yet powerful and chilling.

Folding sexual arousal and religious ecstasy into a single, gasping sensation, SAINT MAUD, the feature debut of the director Rose Glass, burrows into the mind of a lonely young woman and finds psycho-horror gold.

4 stars out of 5 -- SAINT MAUD is worth discovering at your own pace....It's one of the boldest horror debuts of recent years.

Director Rose Glass’s feature debut can be savored as a welcome, disquieting new addition to that old time religio-horror canon.
Rolling Stone

Glass stages her scenes in striking tableaux, and filters a color palette dominated by rich mahogany, aquatic green, and blushing peach through sickly fluorescents and pale, dusty sunlight.

[A] compelling and impactful film, a remarkable debut, and one of the most human and empathetic horrors of recent times.

3.5 stars out of 4 -- Clark is so deeply in touch with Maud's shattered psyche it's impossible to look away from her. It's thrilling to meet a character where you have no idea what she will do from one moment to the next.

Product Description:

Writer-director Rose Glass' psychological horror film stars Morfydd Clark, Jennifer Ehle, and Lily Knight. Maud (Clark), a young hospice nurse who recently experienced an intense religious conversion, becomes singularly obsessed with the idea of securing her dying patient's salvation. The latter – a once-famed dancer and choreographer, now bedridden by disability and illness – underestimates her caretaker's ideological fervor to her detriment.
