Stan Kenton Mellophonium Band alumni Ray Starling and Joel Kaye direct jazz orchestras augmented with full French horn sections. Disc #1: New York Sound Stage One Orchestra, recorded in mono in 1965 and 1966. Four vocals by Annette Sanders, a 1995 Grammy ballot nominee. Disc #2 New York Neophone Orchestra, recorded in stereo in 1976 and 1981. Three vocals by Broadway songstresss Debbie Shapiro Gravitte.
