Ain't No Jive ... Live! is a shrewd move; the five-piece thrives with an audience to play off. Dual-guitar engines squeal on the tight turns of "Dancin' On Coals"; then are reined in for a crunchy-riff cover of T-Rex's "20th Century Boy." Joe Leste's vocals lacerate "Someone Like You" and "Attack Of Life," generating enough electricity to compensate for the occasional off-key note. The latter is a smoldering, 8-minute curtain-closer that borrows from Ted Nugent's "Stranglehold." ~ Roch Parisien
