Entertainment Reviews:
The film from director Mark Neveldine is so over the top that one can't help but imagine how the Wayans brothers might lampoon it, then embarrassingly recall them doing exactly so in "A Haunted House."

Some of the special effects are cool, but they don't compensate for the surrounding lack of drive.

The Vatican Tapes isn't exactly ground-breaking... but it's a solid, well-written, well-performed, and surprisingly original addition to the over-populated parnanomal/demonic possession/exorcism-themed pantheon.

Product Description:
Angela (Olivia Taylor Dudley), a beautiful but ordinary young woman, begins to exhibit strange behaviors that seem to coincide with terrible tragedies involving anyone close to her. When demonic possession is suspected the Vatican is called upon to perform an exorcism that quickly proves to be no match for the ancient satanic force inhabiting Angela's body. Realizing the entire world is in jeopardy, Father Lozano (Michael Peña) is brought in to wage war for Angela's soul and for life as we know it.
