Entertainment Reviews:
Mr. Allen might just as well have devoted his talents to man-eating goldfish, poodles on the rampage or carniverous canaries.

Quite unbelievably terrible, just campy enough to be fun-bad instead of merely bad-bad.

As an adult, I recognize that The Swarm is, well, not good, but I can now enjoy it as a so-bad-it's-brilliant endeavor.

The script's most potentially inspired element, that survivors may have a sort of psychic link with the bees, remains unfortunately unexploited.

Killer bees periodically interrupt the arch writing, stilted direction and ludicrous acting in Irwin Allen's disappointing and tired non-thriller.

Description by OLDIES.com:
While investigating the bee-sting deaths of Air Force personnel at a missile base near Houston, Texas, an entomologist realizes that the dreaded African killer bees -- long expected by scientists -- have arrived in the United States. The hallucination-inducing bees derail a commuter train and destroy a nuclear power plant, killing hundreds of people as scientists race against the clock to develop an antitoxin to stop the devastation of the swarm. Based on the novel by Arthur Herzog.
