I Love Lucy The Movie and Other Great Rarities

This set contains a rarity: three first-season I LOVE LUCY episodes ("The Ballet," "The Benefit" and "Breaking the Lease") that were originally edited together into feature length form with introductory and connecting scenes; Lucille Ball and Desi Arnaz's production company, Desilu, originally planned to release the film to theaters but avoided this gambit lest the release interfere with that of the 1954 Ball-Arnaz MGM comedy THE LONG, LONG TRAILER. The set at hand contains both that feature and a series of other rarities including I LOVE LUCY's first commercial, highlights from a Lucy-Desi appearance on THE ED WYNN SHOW, the only colorized I LOVE LUCY episode ever made, highlights from I LOVE LUCY's reception of various honors at the SIXTH ANNUAL EMMY AWARD and more.
