Entertainment Reviews:
Rating: 4/4 --
Like Potrykus, Burge shows great daring, his performance a high-wire act of ballistic anomie and genuine empathy; we may find Marty repugnant, but only because we fear ending up like him, a disillusioned hellion desperate for a way out.

Chicago Reader
Marty seems intended to exemplify modern American discontent, but a slacker hero is false to this political moment of digital entrepreneurs. His immature "rebellion" patronizes the very audience...that the young adult Marty resembles.

Tough to categorize, tougher to shrug off, "Buzzard" firmly places young indie filmmaker Joel Potrykus on the ones-to-watch list.

A lovely film about loneliness. Indie, original, and haunting. [Full review in Spanish].

Rating: 3/4 --
Burge is phenomenal here, giving a memorable, well-rounded performance. His take on Marty is not your typical cinematic slacker: all cool detachment and naïve apathy.

BUZZARD is a clever commentary on a capitalist system of insufficient checks and balances that allows a creature like its title character to hover over the rest of humanity, looking for something, anything on which to feed.
