[Kevin] Phillips kind of stumbles when he tries for a pat wrap-up of a still-horrific problem. But when he digs into the muck of the rot at the heart of it, he comes up with some unforgettable moments. Full Review

It is a film in which every aspect has been given noteworthy attention, and the end-result just clicks and feels right. Full Review

Rating: 3.5/5 -- An intriguing and impressive debut feature. Director Kevin Phillips' depiction of that carapace of cockiness, built as protection by so many teens but so easily shattered by events they are ill-equipped to deal with, is particularly affecting. Full Review

The ending feels a tad hamfisted in its execution, but by and large is a fantastic debut film for Kevin Phillips, and I'm excited to see how he follows it up. Full Review

Description by OLDIES.com:

Zach (Owen Campbell) and Josh (Charlie Tahan) are best friends growing up in a leafy upstate New York suburb in the 1990s, where teenage life revolves around hanging out, looking for kicks, navigating first love and vying for popularity. When a traumatic incident drives a wedge between the previously inseparable pair, their youthful innocence abruptly vanishes. Each young man processes the tragedy in his own way, until circumstances grow increasingly complex and spiral into violence.
