Chief investigator Senator Oliver P. Loganberry is diligent in his attempts to pin the graft on Taylor. However, Taylors crooked compatriots convince him to frame the senator. While the story could be right out of the political news, the satire bites sharply, reaching its climax when Taylor stages a filibuster on the legislature floor with all the style and panache of a determined Washington insider.
