Nothing that happens in "12 Mighty Orphans" is unexpected, but these two pros still react with infectious wonder as the messages they send to their students take root and then sprout.

"12 Mighty Orphans" is a feel-good football film. It's just not very good. But at times, it is good enough.

It is a film that might get lost under the radar of releases this year but it is a great story told well enough.

Product Description:
Luke Wilson, Vinessa Shaw, Wayne Knight, Jake Austin Walker, Robert Duvall and Martin Sheen star in director Ty Roberts' adaptation of Jim Dent's 2008 nonfiction book of the same name. This sports drama fictionalizes the inspiring story of the Mighty Mites: a formidable football team that consisted of scrawny orphans from Fort Worth, Texas. National glory was attained through their coach Rusty Russell (an orphan himself), who taught them the innovative techniques that made up for their relative lack of brawn.
