...The film is ravishing. The composition of every shot is carefully, fanatically balanced....Anyone who does not find the film gorgeous rates an eye test...

Description by OLDIES.com:

American architect Stourley Kracklite (Brian Dennehy) can't see the beauty in Rome through his pain. Intense stomach aches are crippling him and, worse, he believes his pregnant young wife is having an affair with his archrival. As his suspicions turn to paranoia and obsession, and his marriage, health and reputation begin to unravel, this once-respected man becomes consumed by his own self-torture from the inside out.

Product Description:

A distinguished American architect has an obsession with work that leads to his destruction when his health fails and his wife is driven into the arms of another man.
