JOHN WAYNE: THE EARLY YEARS COLLECTION brings together five of The Dukes early films together in on compilation. In BLUE STEEL (1934) Wayne plays a marshal mixed up in a mysterious robbery. In THE LUCKY TEXAN (1934) Wayne plays a gold prospector who has to deal with a few unscrupulous characters. The Duke impersonates an outlaw in order to find out who murdered his father in WEST OF THE DIVIDE (1934). In HELLTOWN (1936) Wayne plays a cattle driver who has to ward off cattle rustlers. In PARADISE CANYON (1935) the final selection Wayne is an undercover federal agent tracking down counterfeiters.
