Roberto Concina, 3 November 1969, Fluerier, Switzerland. Miles, aka Roberto Milani, was born to Italian parents and later moved to Italy. As a child he learned the piano and began DJing when he was 13. Four years later he took his first job at a local club, around the same time as he set up a pirate radio station. After a few years he was playing at various clubs throughout northern Italy and by the time he was 22 he had become one of the most successful broadcasters in the region on account of his show on Radio Supernetwork. He subsequently invested in a studio to concentrate on writing his own material, while continuing to DJ at clubs and parties. After a number of minor successes in Italy he achieved widespread success with his single ‘Children’ (1996), which was initially signed to Platypus Records in the UK from the Italian independent DBX, before being picked up by Deconstruction Records.
